Thank you for your interest in this project. It began with a desire to share about some old Catholic books I’d acquired. By year’s end I will have posted on almost all those books. This first year’s regular posts were short, including photos and basic bibliographic info with perhaps a thumbnail description. I began including links to my published writing. Next, I published bonus posts with both published and un-published material. There are posts in place through the end of this year.
I wrestled with the question of subscriptions, etc. I have decided there will not be paid subscriptions for this project, and there will never be a paywall for material. What I am introducing is the possibility for readers to make a freewill donation via BuyMeACoffee. I move forward with no expectations in that regard. I am retired and living a comfortable-enough life. But the option is there.
Beginning next year (one year at a time, God-willing), I will continue to build on what I’ve done here in 2024. I will continue to share information on books I’ve found plus posting links to my other writing. If I can master the technical hurdles, I may put on material I’ve published in the past but currently only have in hard copies. I think the posts will continue at the rate of one per week, but the content will be somewhat expanded. Each week will look at one (or perhaps several, if closely-related in some way) book but more in-depth. Some will be items I’ve featured in the first year but with details from A) a first reading; B) a re-reading; or C) a closer reading. Most will be Catholic-related books, but not all.
I hope you will share this endeavor with others, and please keep me in your prayers.
Wishing you all fruitful reading and discovery of new reads,
Greg Cook
